Sean was a competitive swimmer at Simon Fraser University and eventually represented Canada at international level competition. This exposure to the High Performance environment led Sean towards a career path in Strength & Conditioning (S&C) as he always felt that this was an integral component of performance, enjoyment and rehabilitation from injury. As an S&C Coach, Sean spent two and a half years interning at his alma mater (SFU), under the tutelage of renowned performance coach Derek Hansen, working with Athletes from swimming, football and international level figure skating. Building from this experience, Sean began working with Canadian Sport Institute Pacific and the Canadian Mogul Ski Team.
Over nearly 6 years, Sean utilized his passion and skill to prepare and rehabilitate Athletes, fully optimizing their Training and Performance. Sean attended the 2018 South Korea Olympics, supporting the preparation of the Canadian Olympic Mogul Team and Olympic Gold Medallist Mikael Kingsbury.
In 2019, Sean was recognized with the Petro Canada Award for Coaching Excellence for his contribution to Mikael’s preparation and performance. Sean optimizes Adaptation and Performance in several realms - vigilantly monitoring an Athletes individual response to training load stimulus and recovery; Blood Flow Restriction for strength and recovery; and electrical muscle stimulation in early stage strengthening. Sean currently consults with local recreational, amateur, and elite swimmers and runners as they transition from late stage rehabilitation in their return to Performance. Sean is committed to the details underpinning the Elite preparation required to Earn Wins.
