Linda Truong is a physiotherapist with more than 10 years of clinical experience treating recreational to elite athletes during her time at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic in Edmonton, Alberta. While she has experience treating a wide range of sport injuries, her expertise lies in diagnosing and treating traumatic knee injuries, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
Linda is currently pursuing a PhD in Rehabilitation Science at the University of British Columbia. Her research will focus on the impact of psychological, social, and contextual factors on recovery after an ACL or sport-related knee injury. Her life-long career goal is to integrate research into the clinical setting, helping us optimise recovery after an ACL/knee injury. In other words, how do we get athletes to return back to their sport safely with less problems in the future (and minimize the psychological distress the injury creates)!
